Description:
Structural stabilisation works were undertaken to a parapet wall in Lincoln, addressing movement and separation identified between adjoining masonry elements. The project focused on improving the structural integrity of the parapet by installing a steel structural tie and fully grout-packing the voids behind the steel plate to ensure effective load transfer and long-term stability.

The works involved careful preparation of the existing masonry, installation of a purpose-fabricated steel plate fixed through the parapet wall, and controlled grout injection behind the plate to eliminate voids and ensure full bearing. All interfaces were sealed and made good to integrate with the existing structure while maintaining durability and weather resistance.
